Job Description

The Center for Ecoliteracy advances change in TK–12 education and school food systems to support students and the people who nourish them. We envision a world where all students experience and understand how nature sustains life and are inspired to live in ways that benefit people and the environment.

The Center for Ecoliteracy holds strategic relationships with key state agencies, school districts, nonprofit organizations, policymakers, and leaders. With the understanding that individual efforts are amplified through connection and community, we seek to create a collective impact across California and the nation.

We are seeking a Contract Designer for 10+ hours/wk. This individual will collaborate with our Outreach and Communications Director and our growing nonprofit to create smart, vital, and hopeful content.

Our acclaimed marketing materials and publications have been recognized internationally and our organization is known for excellence in design and branding. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, organized, and passionate designer.

Responsibilities include:
  • Both print and digital design, such as page layout for classroom activities or recipes for school nutrition publications and guides
  • Large-scale graphics and marketing materials
  • Graphics for web and social media.
